Meet Recap

The Roeper MS Boys Track and Field team had another great performance Wednesday night against Greenhills and Emerson. Will Hoover had a standout performance winning the 1600m with an official time of 5:47.90. Will also placed 2nd in the 400m at 60.62. Hoover will most likely accomplish the feat of a sub-60 second 400m this season. The Roeper boys 800m relay took 1st with the team of Arrow Gardette, Cassius Catallo, Noah Leopold, and Dylan Stafeil. Other notable performances were Alex Lyon’s victory in the 55m hurdles, Jonah Mougoue’s 4th place in the 400m, and Ben Wedepohl’s 3rd place in the 200m. Ben Wedepohl and Noah Leopold also had standout performances and set personal records in the Shot Put. Ben threw a best of 24ft 5in, while Noah threw a best of 22ft 11in. Overall the team performed to the best of their ability. They are competing at a very high level and we expect to see more significant performances as the Roeper boys compete Saturday at the Lutheran Northwest Invitational.
